Upcoming tier 2 projects soon to be calling for tenders

State Library of Victoria (REDEVELOPMENT) | $83.1mil | Melbourne

Proposed of partial demolition and strip out of existing structures and services and restoration of Queens Hall. The project will include the relocation of staff offices, upgrade of services, redevelopment of the conference centre & state library areas along with the reconfiguration of galleries and exhibition spaces.

Stage: Tenders expected to be invited from shortlisted builders during October/November 2016, with the contract to be awarded in December 2016/January 2017.

Coles Supermarket Elsternwick (REDEVELOPMENT) | $102mil | Elsternwick

Proposed demolition of existing building on heritage overlay area & at 9 Beavis Street to make way for a 4 & 10 storey building to accommodate the new 500sqm Coles supermarket and 227 apartments. The project will include 3 levels of basement car parking, a lift lobby, entry foyer and 8sqm balconies/terraces.

Stage: Documentation. Tenders to be called from selected builders October 2016

Start: 1st quarter 2017

Frogmore House (REDEVELOPMENT) | $24mil | Carnegie

Proposed demolition of existing Frogmore House. The new building will include 45 basement car parking spaces, accommodation for 120 beds with ensuites, a 28sq m salon, 69sq m cafe, function room and cinema library.

Stage: Documentation in progress with tenders expected to be invited from selected builders during 4th quarter 2016

Tender Authority: Jewish Care (Victoria)

Start: 1st quarter 2017

Kalianna School (REDEVELOPMENT) | $25mil | Bendigo

The proposed project to consist of the partial demolition of existing structure creating a new administration building, teaching and research centre and new school facilities, along with the refurbishment of the existing school building.

Stage: Sketch plans completed for stage 1, Documentation in progress with tenders expected to be invited from selected builders March 2017
